1953
Born in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture as third eldest son of Tadao Hoshino, the fifth-generation Ikegami Buddhist image sculptor family that served the Kuon Temple on Mt. Minobu.
From early childhood, Hoshino's father taught him wood carving, painting, lacquering, and gold foiling.

1977
His first entry in the 73rd Pacific Arts Exhibit wins an award.

1978
Awarded The Best New Artist at the 74th Pacific Arts Exhibit and nominated for membership in the Pacific Arts Association.
Held the "Sky" exhibit every year from 1978 to 1985.
Graduates from Pacific Arts School.

1982
Visited through thirteen countries including European countries, and Greece and Egypt to study and observe arts.

1986
